Terms and Conditions

The policy outlined here applies for bookings made directly with Wattle Wilde via our direct website or via phone or email. (*Note: For bookings made via other 3rd party online websites such as Booking.com, AirBnB etc please refer to that specific website for the T&Cs that apply.)

We are a small boutique accommodation and retreat business. We are committed to ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience at Wattle Wilde. We request that you review and comply with our booking terms and policies.

    Booking Terms

    • The quickest and easiest way to book your stay with us is by booking direct online via our online booking system. You will get instant confirmation and best available rates.
    • Payment can be made with credit card. We accept Mastercard, and Visa. You can also choose to pay via EFT (Bank Transfer).
    • We may require you to provide a valid photo ID such as drivers licence to validate your identity for credit card payments.
    • Reservations can also be made over the phone by calling us on +61 458 213 882.
    • Full payment required at time of booking.
    • A security deposit of $500 is held as a pre-authorisation to the cardholder making this fund unavailable to the cardholder until charge is cleared automatically which may take 7-10 days.
    • All damages and/or breakages should be paid for. If damage loss or excess cleaning up to or in excess of $500 your credit card will be used to cover the full amount.
    • Due to unforeseen circumstances e.g. power outages, flooding, lightning strike or cancelled concerts, Wattle Wilde Country Hideaway does not issue refunds.
    • To book an accommodation minimum age of the guest should be at least 21 years. It is the responsibility of the booking guest to make other guests aware of rules and these Terms and Conditions.

    Cancellations

    • Cancellations notified with more than 28 days prior to arrival date will receive a refund of monies paid minus a $50 administration fee.
    • If you cancel within 14 to 28 days prior to arrival a 50% cancellation fee applies.
    • If you cancel less than 14 days prior to arrival or in the case of a no show no refund applies.
    • Travel insurance is highly recommended.

    Variations

    • Variations / date changes requested with more than 28 days prior to arrival date will be made with an administration fee of $50. Any new dates requested are subject to availability and any difference incurred due to change in rate or property type will be payable to confirm new dates.
    • Variations / date changes within 14 to 28 days will made with an administration fee of $100. Any new dates requested are subject to availability and any difference incurred due to change in rate or property type will be payable to confirm new dates.
    • Variations / date changes are not permitted less than 14 days prior to arrival. No refund applies.
    • Travel insurance is highly recommended.

    No Shows

    • "No shows" – if you do not arrive and/or stay for the entire number of nights that have been booked no refund will be given.

    Minimum Stay

    We are a small family run business booking for one night is not viable.

    • A minimum 2 night stay is required mid week and weekends.
    • A minimum 3 night stay is required on all long weekends and special event weekends (such as concerts and festivals) in Hunter Valley.

    Check-In and Check-Out Times

    • Check in: From 3:00 pm
    • Check out: By 10:30 am

    Smoking, Excess Cleaning and Damages

    • Smoking – not permitted indoors or outdoors. A min cleaning surcharge of $100 will apply if guests smoke inside.
    • Excess cleaning - It is the guests' responsibility on departure to leave the property tidy and in a respectable condition. The property is prepared with meticulous attention to detail. We ask you to treat our property with care and show respect for our guest services staff. If extra cleaning is necessary a minimum charge of $50 will apply.
    • Damages - Any breakages or damages to goods and property is the guests' responsibility to pay for on departure.

    Woodfires

    • Wood fires - Sufficient wood is supplied for the duration of your stay, for fireplace use during June-August only. For safety reasons, wood fires are not in use during the total fire ban season, generally running from 1st Oct - 30 March. This period may also vary due to local conditions.
    • Please ensure that you have reviewed our Indoor Fire Safety Policy.

    Children

    • We aim to provide a peaceful and safe holiday for our guests. With unfenced dams on the property, toddlers and children aged from 12 months to 18 years cannot be accommodated at this property.
    • By special request, before proceeding with the booking infants under 12 months at the time of stay maybe be accommodated at the property, at management discretion.
    • Visitors of paying guests are strictly not permitted to bring their children on site.

    Pets

    • Guests are strictly NOT permitted to bring their pets to stay inside the accommodation or anywhere on the grounds.

    Group Bookings, Weddings, Parties, Events and Visitors

    • Wattle Wilde is a privately owned property. When an accommodation booking is made, the use of the accommodation and grounds is for the number of booked and paying guests only.
    • Permission for the use of the property for wedding groups, family groups or friends groups must be requested and granted by Management, prior to making the accommodation booking.
    • Management reserves the right to determine the appropriate use of the grounds and to request all persons abide by the conditions set out.
    • We require you to show respect and care for our property. It is the guests' responsibility on departure to leave the accommodation tidy and in a respectable condition. While we understand that accidents can happen, Guests must notify Management of such incidents prior to their departure.
    • Wattle Wilde Country Hideaway properties are strictly not available for end of school celebrations or bucks' parties, and should we become aware of a booking that is of this nature, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. All cancellations terms will then apply.
    • A $500 Bond is payable for each booking as security to cover any costs incurred due to any breakage; damage; loss; misuse; lack of due care; excess cleaning requirements. The Bond will be charged to your credit card prior to arrival day. Upon departure and inspection of property by Management, Bond is refunded within 7-10 working days.
