Use of the Fireplace – Safety & Fire Bans

We understand that a wood fire is a significant and enjoyable feature of our accommodation, and gives both our Cottage and Homestead its country charm. We aim to provide this feature for our guests to use, in line with managing appropriate safety for the property, our guests and the environment.

The indoor fireplace is not to be in use during total fire ban season, which is typically from 1st Oct - 30 March. This period may also vary due to local conditions, and we will notify our guests accordingly.

We request that our guests be respectful of the fire ban conditions for their own safety, as well as manage the risk and damage to our property as well as the surrounding environment.

Should the weather be cool during your stay, you will find that the reverse cycle air-conditioner keeps the retreats and cottages warm very effectively. The beds are equipped with quilts as well.
